The 2006 Stokes Stomp-Festival
On The Dan was held September 16 and
17, 2006 at Moratock Park along the beautiful Dan River near
Historic Danbury, North Carolina.
The theme for the years'
festival was “homecoming”. Stokes County natives
Lou Reid and
Alan Bibey returned home to perform and entertain.
Also
Martha Bassett,
36 Degrees North,
Driving 5 and
Dixie Broadway provided great down-home music.
Dancing by Native American
Eddie Swimmer and animals by
Wildlife Rehab, Inc. was added to the lineup.
As with every Stokes Stomp-Festival On The Dan for the past 32
years, in addition to the wonderful entertainment line-up, there
was a Parade, variety of foods available, artist
demonstrations and vendors, the 3rd Annual Dan River Duck Race,
the Dan River River Canoe & Kayak Race and so much more.
