the Gallery - Lane, Pace & Summey - The Stokes
County Arts Council is proud to host three local artists, Jennifer
Lane, Gina Pace and Maggie Summey, in the Apple Gallery April 25th
through May 22nd. An opening reception is planned for Friday, April
27, 2012, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Stokes County Arts Council,
Apple Gallery, 500 N. Main Street, Danbury, North Carolina.
Quilted creations of Thread Bear’s own Jennifer Lane and
Gina Pace will be displayed in the gallery. Each work is pieced
from fabrics or fibers, embellished or appliqued and then bound
to finish. Lane states, “There are many techniques used to
create a work of art, which has been passed down through family
traditions.”
Also, on display in the Apple Gallery will be unique creations
by artist Maggie Summey. Her media of choice is stoneware, metal,
beads and paint. Maggie studied studio art at the University of
North Carolina at Wilmington and would like for you to share the
experience of her unique pottery, jewelry, paintings, sculptures
and designs.
