LuzwickApple Gallery to feature local artist Justine Luzwick - June 25th - July 28th

The Stokes County Arts Council is honored to feature local artist Justine Luzwick with an opening reception on Friday, June 26, 2015, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Apple Gallery, 500 N. Main Street, Danbury, North Carolina.

A graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Art Education, Justine is the art teacher at Piney Grove Middle School. She displays her passion for nature through her paintings which are mainly acrylic on canvas, but has experimented with Sharpies on paper more recently. She enjoys working with different art forms, but is most comfortable with a brush in her hand. She enjoys the complexity of acrylics on canvas and its ability to be forgiving. She finds a huge contrast between her paintings and the Sharpie art, which must be more precise with the fine details. Justine shares her love of nature with her students and her family through art. She also enjoys competitive running and gardening.

Luzwick’s beautiful works of art will be featured in the gallery June 25th through July 28, 2015. The opening reception and gallery exhibit is free and open to the public. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information, please call the Stokes County Arts Council at (336) 593-8159.
